The Ninja BN801 features 4 containers in total: a 72-ounce crushing pitcher, two 24-ounces blending cups, and a 64-ounce processor bowl.
As the names of each container suggest, the crushing pitcher is primarily used for smoothies, crushed ice, juices, and other frozen drinks. The smaller blending cups are personal-sized jars for quick and portable use. While in the processor bowl you can mix dough, pancake batter, chop fruits and vegetables, or make butter.

The motor noise is not very alarming if that worries you. It does emit a loud grinding noise that is common in blenders. But on the low setting, the sound is not as loud. It gets louder as you increase the blending speed.

Both the BN801 and BN701 is made up of sturdy materials. The blender jar is BPA-free plastic with a secure lid and handle. The carafe, in order to place it on the blender, twists, and locks into place accurately. The lid also features a unique locking mechanism to prevent spills and leaks while blending.
Both blenders are dishwasher-safe with a sturdy and durable motor base. The blending texture is smooth and consistent. All the important speed settings, blending modes, pulse feature, and power button on both blenders are labeled correctly which takes away the guesswork.
Plus, the blending modes support the “walk-away” functionality that’s one of the most amazing things about Ninja blenders. This means you can set up your blender, select a mode, and you don’t have to wait around for the blender to stop blending.
Everything from blending to cleaning is manageable in both blenders. They are user-friendly and long-lasting to use. However, they do only feature a 1-year warranty which is a drawback as most blenders are backed by more than 3 years of warranty.
But you can, if you want to pay a bit extra, extend your warranty on BN801 or BN701 by 3 or 4 years. The warranty is affordable and contributes to the overall blending power and ease of use of both machines.
