Vitamix Quiet One vs Blendtec Stealth: Differences

The Vitamix Quiet One has more features that affect blending performance and programmability than the Blendtec Stealth. That’s why it wins 3 – 2 with the Blendtec Stealth.

1. Blending Performance

The Winner: Vitamix Quiet One

+Commercial Blender

Now, the Vitamix Quiet One is designed to function exactly like a heavy-duty on-counter bar blender. It is popular also because it’s skillfully used in restaurants and bars.

The 48-ounce Tritan container is larger than what the Blendtec Stealth offers. Even though the latter offers 2 blending jars of different sizes. They are still smaller which might make things harder on you.

Moving important, for a commercial blender to be home-friendly, size of blending capacity and customizations are also important. And the Vitamix comes equipped with multiple speed settings including 6 program buttons, 34 optimized programs, and 93 variable speeds.

So compared to the Blendtec Stealth, it’s more versatile and equipped at handling everything from smoothies to frozen drinks to sauces and nut butter.

The large capacity is indicative of the commercial-grade design quality and speedy performance of the blender.

+Speed Optimization

This refers to the level of customizations the Vitamix Quiet One has to offer. This is definitely more than what the Blendtec Stealth is equipped with.

This advanced blender features not only different blending programs but gives you access to 93 variable speeds using 6 program buttons. It also features 2 pulse buttons for better power output for a short period of time.

The design looks professional and thick – which also explains why it’s slightly heavier than the Blendtec Stealth and larger too. You can use it in offices. It’s considered 50% more powerful and consistent than other on-counter blenders.

And the sound enclosure which has a thick plastic and magnetic steal makes a world of difference in dampening noise, especially during intense use.

2. Controls / Settings

The Winner: Vitamix Quiet One

+93 Variable Speeds

Now that it’s already established that the Vitamix Quiet One is a commercial-grade blender, let’s talk about its speed levels.

What does it exactly mean when I say that the Vitamix features 93 variable speeds? I’m sure you’re wondering whether it’s even possible that a blender can have those many speeds on its control panel.

Well, the Vitamix Quiet One does. And it’s surprisingly effective and impressive.

It features 6 program buttons with 34 pre-programmed cycles. These are quick-blend settings that have automatic speed functions. If you don’t want to select the speed manually to avoid guesswork, you can choose from these programs.

The Blendtec Stealth features 42 pre-programmed blending modes – so it’s higher than Vitamix Quiet One. But it does not have variable speeds which are its biggest drawback in comparison to Vitamix that does!

So with this variable speed, you can intricately control the texture of the food and its run-time. For every particular recipe, the motor will allot a different running time and speed.

For example, the run-time for making a thick (texture) smoothie is 35 seconds. But the Vitamix will spin the blades are medium speed for the first 15 seconds then ramp up the spinning speed to high for the remaining 20 seconds.

For smoothies that are ‘hard-to-blend’, the speed will be high for 25 seconds.

As you can see, the Vitamix Quiet One features intelligent and adjustable speed settings for texture control. The Blendtec Stealth features 42 one-touch cycles for making each and every blend-able drink at the touch of a button. No speed controls whatsoever.

3. Cleaning / Maintenance

The Winner: It’s a Tie

+Size

The Blendtec Stealth is lightweight and more compact than the Vitamix Quiet One. That’s for sure. This is primarily because the Vitamix features a larger 48-ounce blender jar while the Blendtec Stealth features 2 smaller jars of 32- and 36-ounces respectively.

Storing your blender and moving things around is easier with the Blendtec than the Vitamix. As a commercial on-counter blender, it’s expected of you to keep the Vitamix Quiet One in one place only. To slide it around on the counter may get a bit tricky.

+Noise

Between the Vitamix Quiet One vs Blendtec Stealth, the former is quieter. This is because the Vitamix Quiet One comes with a thicker sound enclosure. And the Blendtec Stealth, though it is made up of the same material as the Vitamix blender, is slightly thinner.

The Vitamix is made of an industrial-grade material that dampens the sound of the motor and blades, combined with the airflow innovations. Even at top speed, you won’t hear a loud noise or feel an intense vibration.

The sound of the Blendtec Stealth is also quite low with its airflow feature and reinforced sound enclosure. Despite the powerful motor capacity and blending speeds, you won’t be bothered by its noise.

Only in comparison does the Vitamix Quiet One produces slightly less noise than the Blendtec Stealth. But both are quiet, vibration-free, and commercial blenders.

+Magnetic Enclosure

Maintaining a commercial bar blender like the Vitamix Quiet One vs Blendtec Stealth would become quite exhausting without an enclosure. And between the magnetic enclosure of the Vitamix and the reinforced plastic enclosure of the Blendtec, customers have more faith in the former.

The Vitamix also features a twist-and-lock sound enclosure which is easier to maintain and clean in the long run. The container is shaped in an ergonomic manner so it cleans quickly. Though it is dishwasher-safe, I find it easier to clean by hand.

To clean the inside of the jar, just add a few drops of dish soap and fill the jar 1/3 of the ways with warm water. Press the medium-level speed preset and you’re good to go!

The magnetic enclosure ensures that nothing gets out of the safe box. And you can easily unlock and wipe down the inner surfaces.

4. Utilities

The Winner: Blendtec Stealth

+USB Port

While the blending performance and programmability of the Vitamix Quiet One are amazing, the Blendtec Stealth features more intelligent features to enhance the overall blending experience.

The USB port is the new addition that lets you connect to Blendtec Stealth’s app. On this app, you have access to more programs and features that you won’t find on the blender’s control panel.

So it’s definitely user-friendly and interesting to try out if you’re new to the world of blending. And if you like using smart gadgets, the Blendtec Stealth is intuitive to use.

+Touch Interface

Another handy feature upgrade on the Blendtec Stealth is the touch interface with one-touch buttons. The Vitamix Quiet One features an easy and user-friendly interface but it’s not touchscreen like the Blendtec Stealth.

So the latter looks good and feels superior in comparison.

+Warranty

The Vitamix features a 3-year warranty on all its significant parts and functions. The Blendtec Stealth, on the other hand, features a 3-year warranty plus a year extra. The 3-year warranty is on the parts of the blender while the additional 1 year is for the labor warranty.

The parts include 3 years on the 3.0 HP motor as well. While the additional year goes for the blender jars and other parts that you must assemble once you remove the blender out of the box.

Speaking of which…

+2 Blending Jars

The last point of difference between the Vitamix Quiet One vs Blendtec Stealth that is in favor of the latter is the fact that Blendtec features 2 container jars. The Vitamix features only 1.

Having 2 container jars means you can blend back-to-back without rinsing the container. The Blendtec Stealth features a 32-ounce and 36-ounce blender. There are measurement markings on both containers and they are made of BPA-free plastic which means they’re safe to use and quick to clean.

The 32-ounce jar is 4 cups exactly why the 36-ounce jar contains a little more than 4 cups. The level markings are of both ounces and cups which makes it easier for you to blend without converting measurements on Google.

The 48-ounce blending jar of the Vitamix has level markings too. The markings are in ounces and millimeters. Not cups like the Blendtec Stealth.

Vitamix Quiet One vs Blendtec Stealth: Similarities

+Sound Enclosure

Both blenders have a high-quality sound enclosure to dampen the sound of the motor. Most coffee shops, restaurants, and bars use this kind of on-counter bar blender so that the customers aren’t bothered by the constant motor noise.

Whether you’re making smoothies, juices, butter, dough, or any other recipe, the motor won’t scream at you for crushing ice. And the plastic blending jar is protected from splatters or leaks when crushing liquids.

Rather than a loud noise, there will be a slight humming sound that is not loud at all. Apart from the magnetic seals on the Vitamix, both blenders eliminate undesirable noise and vibration.

+Blending Performance

Both blenders also feature pre-programmed blending modes and a pulse feature. This allows you to control the texture of the drink and maintain a proper consistency.

You can shred or crush ice, knead the dough, churn butter, and do so many things without any problem. Operating the pre-programmed settings is simple. And they’re fit for daily use with their 3 HP motor.
