With 11 variable speeds, this might get tricky. The Vitamix Quiet One is more advanced and foolproof in its functionality and programmability than the Blendtec 800.
+Programmable Blends

Of course, you can always make room for a slightly bigger design – especially when that model has upgraded and advanced features. But the Blendtec 800, along with the Vitamix Quiet One, has both.
The Vitamix Quiet One measures 8.5 x 10.7 x 18 inches and weighs 20 pounds. The Blendtec 800 is conveniently designed with a 9 x 8.6 x 17.3 inches construction and a 16.2 pounds body weight.
This means it’s more practically satisfying because of its compact and portable design. It also looks much sleeker than the Vitamix Quiet One. Especially the sound enclosure design.
And let’s not forget that the Vitamix Quiet One has a smaller blender capacity than the Blendtec 800. It can carry up to 48 ounces of food per serving while the Blendtec goes up to 90 ounces without any trouble. Despite this, Blendtec is more conveniently sized.
+Touchscreen
The Blendtec 800 features a touchscreen panel with a smooth and, most importantly, a flat surface. This is good because it allows easier upkeep, you have no buttons or dial to wipe the dust off of. And second, it looks good because even if you make a mess while blending, the touch panel is completely sealed so water from entering the machine from anywhere.
The Vitamix is designed in a similar way but it doesn’t have a touchscreen panel. Nor does it have a rotary dial, switches, or buttons like most standard home blenders. The buttons are sealed and easy to clean.
Appearance-wise, I like how the Blendtec 800 is designed with a strapping touch panel and sturdy motor base.

The Vitamix Quiet One comes with a warranty that’s significantly shorter than the Blendtec 800. It’s 3 years vs 10 years – in favor of the Blendtec 800! Even both are professional-grade blenders for long-term use.
Both blenders have the same 63 to 65 dB noise level which is marked as ‘Very Low’ and favorable for home use. Standard blenders are much higher – around 80 to 85 dB – so there is no doubt that both the Vitamix and Blendtec are extremely quiet models.
