The design and features of the Margaritaville Key West vs Bali are scored based on how you would make use of it in your home. And I found that the Margaritaville Bali is good in both – quantity and quality – than the Key West.
The Margaritaville Key West is a more compact and basic choice for first-time users. When you don’t know the magic that sits in one of these user-friendly and functionality frozen concoction makes, starting with the Key West is a great idea too.
The Margaritaville Bali has features that are more sophisticated and versatile than the Key West. Starting with the larger blending capacity, it can make up to 6 drinks at a time. The Bali also adjusts its speed and consistency and time by drink. You can pick from 4 different options. In addition, you can also customize by serving size.
All in all, the Bali performs better, makes the smoothest drinks at the touch of a button. And it self-dispenses the drink directly into the glass too!

Margaritaville Key West vs Bali: Differences
The Margaritaville Bali wins 3 – 2 against the Key West because it has features that help you create more exciting recipes at the touch of a button. And larger quantities at a time.
1. Blending Performance
The Winner: It’s A Tie!
+Power
When you reflect on the size of the Key West against the Bali, it’s understandable why the Bali features a more powerful motor than the Key West.
The 60-ounce blending capacity of the Bali is more in tune and compatible with the 650 motor rating. It achieves fast and consistent blending speeds and it crushes and shaves and blends ice, in larger quantities, without making a loud noise or vibrating aggressively.
The Margaritaville Key West, on the other hand, features a 550 power rating which is not at all bad for a 30-ounce blending capacity. In fact, I have not found many such compact and user-friendly frozen blenders with such a high-powered and efficient motor.
2. Controls / Settings
The Winner: Margaritaville Bali
+Blending Capacity
The Bali is a premium and upgraded blender for frozen drinks than the Key West. The upside to using the Key West is that you can quickly make drinks up to 36 ounces at the push of a button. It won’t jam or make a loud screeching noise or be a hassle to clean afterward.
The superiority of Bali over Key West is in its blending capacity as it features a 60-ounce blending jar. Means you can make up to 6 drinks at a time. Whereas in the Key West you could make only 3 drinks.
You can make 6 drinks and you can make them all in the same manner without the ice melting or turning into a slush that nobody likes. The mechanism of shaving and blending ice on both blenders is the same. But only that with 6 drinks at your disposal, you save more time and it also makes pouring easy.
+Pre-Programmed Settings
On the Key West blender, you have two blending modes: manual and automatic. The manual mode allows you to shave or blend ice according to your time. And the automatic mode takes care of the shaving and blending on its own.
The Margaritaville Key West features another pre-programmed feature that lets you pick from 1, 2, or 3 servings. Once you choose the size of drink you want, leave the rest to the machine.
If you like your drinks to be made in a specific way, the manual mode is your new best friend. You can adjust the shaving and blending settings to achieve the right texture and consistency of the drink.
For a home frozen concoction maker, the features that the Margaritaville offer is quite impressive. But what the Bali has in store is even better!
It lets you choose the drink you want to make with a drink selector dial. This dial consists of 4 different types of drinks: margaritas, daiquiris, coladas, and smoothies. Each does something different to the ingredients you’ve put in the jar, including the ice, to produce a unique and delicious consistency.
You can also adjust the blending by serving size from a full chamber to a half chamber. The control panel features 2 buttons: the full chamber makes 60 ounces while the half chamber makes 30 ounces. So the drink selection is from around 3 to 6 drinks per blend.
As you can see, the Margaritaville Bali is more advanced and versatile in its customizability than the Key West.
3. Cleaning & Maintenance
The Winner: Margaritaville Key West
+Size
The Margaritaville Bali is heavier and bigger than Key West. Because it features a larger serving capacity, the size and dimensions of the Bali are easily pardoned. However, for practical use, an appliance like the Bali needs more room in your kitchen.
The Key West, because of its compact design and comfortable dimensions, is portable and easy to store on any countertop. It’s quick and effortless to move back and forth from the kitchen countertop to the bar whenever you’re entertaining.
The Bali measures 12.7 x 18.7 x 22 inches and weighs around 22.2 pounds. These are the measurements of a sizable kitchen appliances. And compact kitchen spaces may not be able to accommodate it.
But the Key West measures 14 x 9 x 19 inches and weighs close to 19.8 pounds. It’s small, more convenient for narrow kitchen countertops.
4. Utilities
The Winner: Margaritaville Bali
+Self-Dispenser
The Bali comes with a separate chamber that dispenses what’s in the main blending jar. You won’t need to pour from the large 60-ounce blending jar at all. With the self-dispenser, you can place your drink right under the dispenser’s spout and push the knob for the drink to pour into your glass.
The lack of pouring by yourself improves performance and user-friendliness. Everyone with a drink can go for a refill. And considering the 60-ounce blending capacity of the Bali, it would have been quite a task to pour without spilling, right?!
The Margaritaville Key West does not feature a self-dispenser. Its 30-ounce jar is comfortable to hold and steady with the handle. The Easy-Pour spout and lid prevent spills or leaking while blending and pouring.
+Control Panel
The control panel of the Bali is equipped with more dials and buttons than the Key West. The Key West features the power button, automatic Shave & Blender button, manual switch, and the size selector dial.
The design of the Bali is fancier with settings for drinks, size, automatic and manual blending modes. The stainless steel accents look more sophisticated and modern than on the Key West which is mostly made out of plastic.

I am sure you love food. Otherwise, you won’t be here. As a full-time and a part-time chef at a local restaurant, I know my way around food. Ever since I was a young girl, I enjoyed helping my mom in the kitchen.
We would often experiment with the spices, ingredients, and flavors and create great meals for my brothers and dad. Since cocking was my first passion, I decided to go in that direction. I finished culinary school, got my first job, and started developing my skills.
Later when kids came, I had all the liberty in the kitchen to combine some of the unique flavors. A lot of them were a success, but now and there I would make a couple of mistakes.
