Vitamix A2300 vs Ninja Review: Final Verdict Revealed: Side-By-Side Comparison Of Their Best Features & More

I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post. Read more

Between the Vitamix A2300 vs Ninja, the Ninja is more popular because it is cheap and short-lived. But speed-wise, the Vitamix A2300 is the winner. It ranks higher than the Ninja BL770 as a multi-purpose, durable, and foolproof kitchen blender.

The Ninja is good for many things: affordability, versatile use, and quick blending. But if you crave power and sturdiness most of all, the Vitamix A2300 is your best choice. It will definitely outlast a Ninja with its 10-year warranty – the Ninja comes with a 1-year warranty.

Plus, it has a quieter motor, more programmable features, and a Bluetooth app. The functionality of the Vitamix A2300 is very reliable for blending enthusiasts. Its design is not at all bulky, it has a low-profile container and a timer that allows hands-free blending for multi-taskers.

Vitamix A2300 vs Ninja: Differences

The Vitamix A2300 is an amazing blender for consistent use. It has more speed functions, a powerful motor, and additional accessories for making maintenance easy for long-term use. That is why it wins against the Ninja system 4 – 1.

What the Ninja does exceedingly well, it must be mentioned, is offer quick and effective blending modes for a smoothie, crushed ice, and dough. Plus, it has a single-serve cup that is not present in the Vitamix.

1. Blending Performance

The Winner: Vitamix A2300

Vitamix A2300 Blending Performance
Vitamix A2300 Blending Performance

+Power

The Ninja BL770 comes with a powerful motor (1,500 W), but it does lag behind the Vitamix A2300 featuring a more powerful 1,640 W motor.

But you must not expect from the Ninja BL770, but the A2300 offers is hot soup blending. Ninja is not equipped to handle blending hot soup for long periods of time. But the Vitamix A2300 can, thanks to the stable and power-efficient motor.

The motor construction of the Vitamix is also better built than the Ninja. It can withstand intense use per cycle and you don’t have to exert yourself getting the tiniest of tasks done while meal prepping with the Vitamix.

+Type of Blender

This is as much a matter of what you’re looking for in a blender as it is about the blender’s versatility. How adjustable and adaptable it is to your needs?

The Vitamix A2300 blender features a compact and stable design. But it has only a single 64-ounce blending jar. This converts to 1.8L or 7.8 cups or twice as many tablespoons (64 x 2 = 128 tablespoons).

That’s a very large capacity for making smoothies, sauces, salad dressing, butter, ice cream, hot soup, etc. The minimum quantity you can add to Vitamix A2300’s 64-ounce jar is more than half of 64 ounces. Visually, make sure the food covers the section of the blades so that even a smaller serving can blend well without lumps.

In this manner, the A2300 is an adjustable and versatile choice for most users. The Ninja, on the other hand, features 4 different jars.

It’s a whole “mega kitchen system” which means it allows you to move back and forth from one jar to the next based on what you want to make. Unlike the A2300, where you can make everything in a single jar – be it hot soup, smoothie, ice cream, sauce, etc. In the Ninja, you can use a separate blending jar for each recipe.

So the Ninja is more extensive in its usability and by extension, its maintenance than the Vitamix A2300.

+Sound

Noise affects blending performance. The Vitamix A2300, despite being more powerful than the Ninja produces less noise 92.8 dB. While the Ninja produces 95dB so it is slightly noisier at the highest level.

2. Controls / Programmability

The Winner: Vitamix A2300

Vitamix A2300 Programmability
Vitamix A2300 Programmability

Let’s talk speed. The Vitamix A2300 features 10 variable speeds with no blending programs. The Ninja features 4 variable speeds and 4 blending programs. But these speed settings are one and the same thing.

The control panel of the Ninja is made up of 4-speed buttons: 1 (Dough), 2 (Blend), 3 (Crush), and Single-Serve. It also features a pulse mode with an on/off toggle.

The control panel of the Vitamix is structured a bit differently. For starters, it happens to have a rotary dial for adjusting the speed from 1 to 10. Next to it, on the right, you have the power toggle, and on the left, there’s the pulse switch.

The maximum high speed of the Vitamix goes up to 22,400 RPM. While that of the Ninja is 4,500 RPM. The lowest speed of the Vitamix is 1,400 RPM. And the Ninja’s is 3,200 RPM.

As you can see, the Vitamix is a lot more versatile in speed adjustments than the Ninja. The Ninja is limited in both high speed and low speed.

This can come in between how intricately you want to texturize certain recipes. It also means that on the Vitamix you can make a wider variety of blends because the speed is adjustable between 1,400 RPM (lowest) to 22,400 RPM (highest).

But, in my testing, I found that the Ninja does a spectacular job of crushing ice even at 4,500 RPM. Its different pre-set speeds allow to make smoothies, mix dough, and crush ice faster. The Vitamix A2300 demands a bit of trial of error between 1 and 10-speed levels.

3. Cleaning / Maintenance

The Winner: It’s a tie

Ninja BL770 Maintenance

+Self-Clean Program

Thanks to the companion app you can pair the Vitamix A2300 blender with, there is a self-cleaning mode to access. This mode uses the highest speed to dislodge any food stuck under the blades. So all you have to do is rinse the jar after the program is complete.

The Ninja does not feature any such self-cleaning program. And because it has more blender jars, cleaning can take more time.

+Removable Blades

Ninja features 6 blades in a single blender jar and these blades are removable which calls for hassle-free cleaning. Unfortunately, the blades in the Vitamix jar are not removable. Though both blenders are dishwasher-safe.

4. Utilities

The Winner: Vitamix A2300

Vitamix A2300 Settings

+Bluetooth / Self-Detect Technology

Most Vitamix blenders feature wireless connectivity for two reasons: app connectivity and self-detect technology. With the Vitamix A2300, it’s inclusive of both. You can pair the blender with the Perfect Blend app to access 17 blending programs and the digital timer.

Plus, the self-detect technology allows you to buy and use small-sized blender jars on the motor base. You can buy 32-ounce or 48-ounce Vitamix jars and use it. The A2300 will automatically detect the size and adjust the speed.

Ninja comes with its own set of jars starting with the 72-ounce blender pitcher, 64-ounce processor bow, and two 16-ounces to-go cups with lids. So it doesn’t require self-detect technology because it already includes a variety of blender jars.

While this is an advantage for many users because it doesn’t cost you extra to buy new blender jars, the Ninja does not pair with any app. So it has limited programmability in comparison to the Vitamix.

+Warranty

A great setback to using the Ninja is also its shockingly inadequate warranty. It comes with only a 1-year warranty on all its parts and features. While Vitamix includes a 10-year warranty. This should explain why the Vitamix is more expensive than the Ninja, despite the single 64-ounce blender jar. It’s more powerful and durable than the Ninja for everyday use.

+Tamper

The Vitamix A2300 also includes a handy tamper for scooping. You can make full use of a tamper to not only make sure you get every last bit of food from the jar after blending. But it also ensures that you can push down food while it’s blending from all 4 corners of the jar.

The tamper also helps in breaking the food down inside the blender to avoid any lumps or chunks. Thankfully, on the Vitamix, I can move the tamper around without interrupting the blending when making ice cream, blending hot soup, or a smoothie bowl.

The Ninja does not come with a tamper but it does feature 2 separate blender jars for smoothies (72-ounces) and a processor bowl for chopping vegetables or mixing dough (64-ounce). The shape of the processor bowl is wider while the 72-ounce pitcher is narrower and longer more suited to blending smoothies.

Vitamix A2300 vs Ninja: Similarities

The Vitamix A2300 vs Ninja have a few features in common. The 64-ounce blending capacity, though on the Ninja you can use the 64-ounce jar only for processing food such as dough, batters, sauces, purees, etc.

Both blenders also come with the same pulse mode. This is simple and easy to use for crushed ice, smoothies, and other interesting recipes.

Overall, I think both the Vitamix A2300 and Ninja are great choices for blending smoothies, sauces, butter, and crushed ice. But if you want to do more, like make hot soup, the A2300 is more equipped at handling intense tasks.

Both blenders are fast and offer consistent texture. They are made up of materials that are BPA-free, weigh less, and come with secure lids for a leak-free and spill-free blending experience.
