Vitamix A2300 vs 7500 Review: Which Vitamix Blender Can Make Smooth Butter, Creamy Soups & Crushed Ice Better?

I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post. Read more

Aside from being good blenders for home use, the Vitamix A2300 vs 7500, the winner is the Vitamix A2300 as it offers more customizable features via its smartphone app and improves ease of use and precision with its digital timer.

The Vitamix 7500 is a beginner’s delight. It has the same large blending capacity as the A2300. The same 10-variable speed settings, Pulse button, and 2.2 HP motor. But there are a few gaps in its functionality and design. That’s why the Vitamix A2300 is more suitable for modern users.

I won’t say don’t buy the Vitamix 7500 at all! It’s still a fast and sturdy blender for daily use. It’s intuitive and uncomplicated for those who want straightforward performance. But considering what you pay for it, and the A2300, the latter is more cost-valuable.

Vitamix A2300 vs 7500: Differences

The Vitamix A2300 has advanced features in comparison to the basic functionality of the 7500. One of the biggest features that the A2300 offers is wireless connectivity that enhances what the blender can do at the touch of a button.

1. Controls / Settings

The Winner: Vitamix A2300

Vitamix A2300 Settings
Vitamix A2300 Settings

There are 3 features that make the A2300 better than the 7500 for programmability and precise control.

+Blending Programs (With App)

You can download the Vitamix’s Perfect Blend app on your smartphone or tablet and it’ll connect to the A2300 in a split second. This app consists of 17 blending programs with over 500 recipes that allow you to customize and modify the ingredients you’d want to use without guessing.

So on top of using the 10 variable speeds on the control panel, and the digital timer, the A2300 makes blending more intuitive, straightforward, and enjoyable. You get access to more functions and benefits when you use the app – so this elevates the programmability of the blender.

The Vitamix 7500 is not compatible with the Vitamix’s app. It costs the same as the A2300 but with limited features. It’s still programmable via the 10 variable speed and Pulse button control panel. But it does not include a timer or wireless connectivity like the Vitamix A2300.

+Automatic Self-Detect Feature

The Vitamix 7500 might appear as too simple when you compare it with the A2300 that also includes the auto-detect feature. The A2300 will automatically detect the size of the blending jar you place and adjust the blending speed accordingly.

Certain recipes call for different blending sizes. You may not use the same blending jar for dry ingredients as wet ingredients. 64-ounce for dry ingredients like nuts and seeds can be too large. A smaller blending jar is the way to go. And with A2300 you can invest in a small blending jar and use it on the A2300, even though it’s a 64-ounce blender.

You can only use the 64-ounce blender jar that the 7500 includes. It’s not compatible with any other size nor does it feature this automatic self-detect function.

+Timer

On the A2300, a digital timer is useful because it displays how much time has passed once the blending starts. Some recipes are very time-sensitive, so this feature comes in handy for those times.

The timer looks bold and modern on the Vitamix A2300! It’s quite a head-turner as well. So if you have guests over, get ready to answer some burning questions about the aesthetic and sophisticated design of the Vitamix A2300.

For the 7500, you will have to see the time in a kitchen timer to make sure everything goes smoothly and you don’t ruin the texture.

2. Cleaning & Maintenance

The Winner: Vitamix A2300

The Vitamix A2300 features a lid, blending jar or container, and blades. Out of which, the lid and blending container is dishwasher-safe. It also allows automatic self-cleaning with just a few drops of dish soap and warm water. Run the blender for 20-30 seconds and rinse once. This will clean up the inside of the container without any hassle.

The Vitamix 7500 also features a lid, blending jar, and high-quality blades. But none of its parts, including the lid and container, are dishwasher-safe. You can, however, perform the self-cleaning cycle by adding dish soap and warm water. It’ll clean up nice in 20 to 30 seconds.

Fill up the container halfway with warm water – on both blenders – and not more. Keep the lid off and let the container air-dry afterward. Both blenders feature BPA-free plastic and have sturdy 4-inch (diameter) blades.

Vitamix A2300 vs 7500: Similarities

1. 10 Variable Speeds

Vitamix 10 Variable Speeds
Vitamix 10 Variable Speeds

Both the A2300 and 7500 feature 10 variable speeds that you can control via the sturdy dial. In both Vitamix blenders, start with the lowest speed and move up if necessary. This improves the texture of the blend and ensures that you do not excessively blend something you are not supposed to.

I say, the lower speeds on both blenders are enough to get the job done. It’s powerful enough to crush ice without making a loud noise.

There will be some more force and air pressure when you take it up to the highest speed. But not in a bad way at all. At full power, you can expect some noise and vibration. The air will expel from the sides but the 2.2 HP motor stays cool as it features a cooling fan to prevent over-heating.

You can use the highest speed for making soup, which is a unique feature of both the Vitamix A2300 and 7500. It creates heat which ensures that the soup does not thicken.

2. Low-Profile 64-ounce Container

Vitamix Low-Profile 64-ounce Container
Vitamix Low-Profile 64-ounce Container

Both these blenders are high-powered and sizable. Despite that, they feature a low-profile 64-ounce blender that doesn’t take up too much room.

There is hardly any difference in size or weight in both blenders. Convenient enough to sit on kitchen counters or even under cabinets. The A2300 weighs 11.8 lbs while the 7500 weighs 12.5 lbs which is not heavy at all.

Even their height has a 0.5-inch difference – 17 inches and 17.5 inches respectively. The container is slim, not too heavy, and secure. The blades are 4-inches in diameter which is perfect for large blends with no chunks or lumps left behind.

3. Warranty

Though the Vitamix 7500 comes with a 7-year warranty, you can pay extra to extend it to 10 years. The Vitamix A2300, on the other hand, features a 10-year warranty which is already included in its price. So no need to pay extra for it.
