I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post. Read more

There are many comparisons that are made between the Vitamix 7500 vs 6300 but this is the most extensive of them all. And you won’t have to spend hours getting to the bottom of which is better – the Vitamix 7500 or the 6300?

In all fairness, the Vitamix 7500 wins with a point higher than the Vitamix 6300. The reason is that the 7500 runs whisper-quietly than the 6300.

Both belong to the same 64-ounce blender category with 10 variable speeds and high-quality construction. And even though the 6300 features 3 extra blending modes than the 7500, the 7500 has an overall sturdier design and a multi-functional 10-speed setting and Pulse feature.

Vitamix 7500 vs 6300: Differences

The Vitamix 7500 wins 3 – 2 against the equally-dependable but slightly noisier Vitamix 6300.

1. Blending Performance

The Winner: Vitamix 7500

Vitamix 7500 Blending Performance

+Blade Size

The 4-inch blades are most compatible with a 64-ounce blender jar. And the 7500 features tough, stable stainless steel blades like that. The 6300, on the other hand, features smaller blades (3-inch) which is not as adequate as the 4-inch blades.

Provided that both blenders come with superior and high-quality parts. The 3-inch blades of the 6300 require a relatively longer blending cycle. But the 4-inch blades, which is larger, blend and puree ingredients more potently in lesser time than the 6300.

Even considering that the Vitamix 7500 features a 2.2 HP motor and the 6300 features a 2.0 HP motor. The former is more powerful and stable in blending speed than the latter.

2. Controls / Programmability

The Winner: Vitamix 6300

+Blending Modes

The 6300 comes with 3 blending modes, namely for smoothies, frozen desserts, and hot soups. It also features 10 variable speeds for intricate control over the texture. The 7500 does feature the 10 variable speed settings but not the pre-programmed blending modes for smoothies, frozen desserts, and hot soup.

While on the 6300, you can easily and quickly start blending the ingredients for a smoothie without worrying about adjusting the speed. There is some guesswork involved in the 7500. But the added pre-sets on the 6300 do not enhance its blade performance.

The blade performance on both blenders is fast and effective. Both can perform the same tasks as each other. Only that the 3 pre-programmed modes on the 6300 make it easier to pick the correct texture. Especially when you’re diligently following a recipe with the proper measurement of ingredients.

3. Cleaning / Maintenance

The Winner: It’s A Tie!

+Size

Both blenders come with a 64-ounce blender jar and despite that sameness their weight and size dimensions are different.

The 7500 is slightly wider than the other. While the 6300 is a few inches taller. The height may interfere with you being able to, comfortably, keep the blender on the countertop, under a cabinet. Most kitchen spaces have low-hanging cabinets so keeping the 7500 should not be a problem for you at all.

But the frame is a bit wider so it will take up room along the sides. On the Vitamix 6300, you’re cutting back on length by an inch or so which means you can easily keep other things next to the 6300 without it taking up too much room.

But, overall, I think a compact blender that is not too tall is the ideal preference for someone working in a narrow, small kitchen space. That’s why the Vitamix 7500 is my personal preference.

+Weight

Having said that, I’d also like to point out another serious point of consideration. The weight of a blender can affect your ability to move the blender around in case you need to. If you plan on storing the blender in a cabinet or placing it on the kitchen island each time you decide to blend something, a lighter construction is to your advantage.

The 6300 weighs around 2.5 pounds lighter than the 7500 which is at 12.5lbs, the 6300 is at 10lbs only. So the latter is more portable, user-friendly, and convenient to move around by yourself.

4. Utilities

The Winner: Vitamix 7500

+Noise

Despite the higher 2.2 HP motor rating, my research showed that the 7500 runs quieter than the 6300 with its 2.0 HP motor. While both crush and blend wet and dry ingredients effectively, the slight difference in noise is a dealbreaker for some people.

The 7500 blender is a Vitamix G-Series Blender while the 6300 is part of the C-Series where ‘C’ stands for Classic. The G-Series models are more upgraded as they dampen the loud noise the motor produces with better, thicker insulation.

That is why the Vitamix 7500 is quieter, has a low-profile, and can work for a long stretch of time without breaking its back.

Vitamix 7500 vs 6300: Similarities

1. Container Size

Both blenders include a 64-ounce container which is perfect for large families. Though the capacity of both containers is the same, what’s different is the way they are designed. But all in all, both are able to accommodate the same amount of ingredients, only in different ways.

2. 10 Variable Speeds

Vitamix 10 Variable Speeds
Vitamix 10 Variable Speeds

There’s a rotary dial on both blenders that control the speed. You can adjust from 1 to 10 speeds, 1 being the slowest but not really because in my research I found that both blenders are fast-performing, even on their lowest speeds.

The rotary dial which controls the speeds is easy to manure and maintain. You also have the Pulse feature which has versatile advantages for chopping, grinding, milling, blending, pureeing, or kneading.

The variable speed control ensures simple but intuitive performance for all types of ingredients. There is something about this flexibility that makes a Vitamix blender better than food processors. It performs twice as many functions as a food processor.

3. Cleaning

Vitamix 7500 Cleaning
Vitamix 7500 Cleaning

The cleaning features on both Vitamix 7500 vs 6300 are minor drawbacks. Both do not feature dishwasher-safe parts which does add a bit more time to your cleaning efforts.

Rinse the container, lid, and blades by hand. You can also put warm water and a few drops of dish soap into the blender jar directly after use and blend the soap water for 20 to 30 seconds. This should get rid of any stuck scraps of food under the blades.

This is better than twisting and forcing your way to the bottom of the blades, by hand, or using a spoon to get under the blades to clean. There is a possibility that you might end up scratching the interior surface of the jar this way.

4. Utilities

Both blenders feature a 6-feet cord wrap, a 7-year warranty on all parts and features, and a cooling fan to avoid overheating the motor, especially when making a hot recipe like hot soup.

The 7-year warranty is indicative of how efficient the blenders are. You don’t have to worry about shipping costs either in case you have to replace a faulty part within the warranty period. Vitamix takes care of that for you.
