Everything you need from a blender, Vitamix 750 vs E320 can do for you. But for extra programmability, the Vitamix 750 is the winner. It works excellently well. It’s fast and customizable. On top of having 10 variable speeds, it also features 5 blending modes.

Both blenders have plenty of power that can work consistently, multiple times a day, without a problem. The motor base is sturdy and works really well for making smoothies, butter, juices, sauces, ice cream, pureed baby food, etc. It can also chop fruits and vegetables with the Pulse feature.

The only area where the Vitamix 750 blows one away is that it offers more programmable controls for one-touch blending than the Vitamix E320. The cost of the product also reflects these updated features.

Vitamix 750 vs E320: Differences

The Vitamix 750 wins 2 – 0 against the E320 on the grounds of better programmability, shorter design, and more user-friendly blending performance. It’s also an upgraded pick from the E320 which is more useful for blending enthusiasts and professional users working from home.

1. Controls / Programmability

The Winner: Vitamix 750

+Pre-Programmed Blending Modes

The Vitamix 750 is an upgrade from the E320 because it features 5 quick program modes for blending while the E320 has none. If you see the dial on the 750, you will find 10 variable speeds on the left side of the dial while on the right, you’ll see 5 different icons.

Each icon is designated for a specific blending function. This controls different textures of the blend that you would like. Smoothie, frozen dessert, soup, and puree textures. The 5th blending mode is for self-cleaning.

The E320 features the same 10 variable speed dial. It does not, however, come with automated blending programs. This limits some of its functionality especially when you want to control the texture and walk away from the blender while it’s blending. The 750 allows you to do that. But with the E320, it’s not 100% a hands-free operation.

For the rest of it, the pulse feature, start/stop, and variable speeds – both blenders are the same. They even come with the same 2.2 HP peak motor.

2. Cleaning / Maintenance

The Winner: Vitamix 750

+Size

First, let’s investigate why the Vitamix 750 looks and feels better in design than the E320. For starters, it is not as tall due to the compact motor base. Since they are both 64-ounce blenders, there is no distinction between their blender jars.

The legs of the motor base of the E320 are longer which adds a few more inches of height to the overall construction of the E320. The Vitamix 750 is 17.2 inches tall while the E320 is 18 inches.

They weigh the same, occupy the same volume. But I will say that by size measurements, the 750 is relatively broader. While it may easily slide under kitchen cabinets due to its short height, it will occupy a few more inches than the E320 when kept next to other kitchen appliances.

Perhaps this is the only factor of consideration, though minor, that makes E320 more favorable for portability.

Vitamix 750 vs E320: Similarities

1. 64-Ounce Container

Vitamix 64-ounce Container
Vitamix 64-ounce Container

Both blenders share the same large 64-ounce capacity for blending. 64 ounces can hold up to 2 liters and this is more than enough for making large batches of butter, batters, soup, smoothies, sauces, frozen desserts, etc.

Blenders like the 750 and E320 are suitable for big families only. For solo use, they may be too big considering you can’t make a one-person smoothie in a 2L blender jar. It won’t blend well and there’ll be lumps in your smoothie.

However, the pulse feature does take care of that minor inconvenience, ensuring a smoother and creamier final texture of smoothies and fruit juices.

You can also increase the portion size just a tad bit to accommodate the large size of the blender. Both blenders have plenty of power for consistent and perfect use.

Moving on, the blender jar is made of BPA-free plastic with a secure lid, handle, and measure markings. So you can see everything that’s going on inside the jar and add exactly the right amount of ingredients without guessing.

2. 10 Variable Speed

Vitamix 10 Variable Speeds
Vitamix 10 Variable Speeds

You probably got enough information about this feature before but here’s what I want to leave you with when considering the 10 variable speeds of both blenders.

The lowest speed levels are powerful enough to crush ice, blend smoothies, make sauces and dips in a matter of seconds. This is good for any recipe that requires cold or room temperatures.

The highest speed levels are more suited for hot soups and frozen desserts. The blades do create some friction at the highest speed, especially when the blades are spinning for a longer time. So it’s best to make ice creams, smoothies, juices, and other cold recipes on medium speed.

3. Additional Features

Other features like a cooling fan to keep the motor cool while running, 7 years of warranty, and a sturdy design. These blenders offer everything a blending enthusiast needs to get started.

They’re perfectly built for household use. And though there are a few distinctions between the Vitamix 750 vs E320, the similarities are what make both blenders high-quality and durable to use.

 4. Motor

Both blenders come with 2.2 HP motors. This has a huge impact on the performance and consistency of the blender. Even when you are someone who makes soup and ice cream on a regular basis.

Some blenders come with motors lower than 1.5 HP and that’s not enough for a blender to run. 2.2 HP motors are powerful and durable so you needn’t worry about the speed of the blades. The energy consumption of the blenders is also under control and efficient.

For wet, dry, thin, or thick ingredients, the motor runs fast. While the stainless steel blades brush and blend through tough ingredients in seconds, rather than minutes which is something that traditional mixers do.

5. Cleaning

Vitamix 750 Cleaning Maintenance

The blender jar is dishwasher-safe so you’re not faced with scrubbing and rinsing the jar by hand after every use.

I find it quite difficult to clean from underneath the blades once I make hummus or chunky salsa or even butter. For that, the self-cleaning feature of the blender comes in handy. Just use warm water and a few drops of dish soap. Add this mixture halfway to the jar and close the lid tight. Run the self-cleaning cycle (on the 750) or turn to ‘5’ speed on the E320.

Let the blender run for around a minute or depending on how it looks from the outside. Empty out the dirty water and place the blender in the dishwasher. That’s all.
